ILLUSTRATED SENTENCES AND A BOOK

A Kickstarter // Make 100 - mini project.

Gaston, Oregon — Local artist Kathe Welch is making her next book. She is seeking a large group of collaborators to help write the text. Kathe is using kickstarter to organize and fund her project. She invites the public to join her in this endeavor. And to help spread the word about this exciting project.


In her description from the main Kickstarter page, Ms. Welch says, “I am illustrating sentences. Mine or yours. I will turn the pile of drawings in to a book. It will totally make sense…”


Ms. Welch has spent the last 15 years as an Art  Educator working with students at the middle and high school level in California and Oregon. She has done similar projects with her students and has seen amazing results. She has the ability to combine seemingly random ideas into coherent stories. She uses this skill mostly to draw her students in to using their imagination and building their artistic and critical thinking skills.


This project combines her unique skill set and will help her to achieve a life-long goal of writing and illustrating her books.
